AAA is looking for a student who, in coordination with ARK AID, is willing to engage in an academic research project to develop benchmarking criteria in order to rate nonprofits which claim to be Christian and provide aid for the poor. This could involve a master's thesis, or other research paper that would result in accreditation.
The student must be willing to do extensive research of, and make visits to, existing rating agencies; work independently; be proficient in the English language; make investigative visits to a number of larger charities; make comparative studies of donor and charity value systems and expectations; have some understanding and a critical mind respecting financial disclosures by organizations; have a personal passion to help the poor; and, preferably, have had some recent involvement with aid organizations.
This project, for a large part, involves independent research. If this is a viable possibility for an intern, then AAA would welcome such. Please contact AAA.
