2. ARK AID influences (redirects) this giving by just 1%.
3. The charities that ARK AID recommend are on average 20% more cost effective then the charities receiving lower ratings.
4. The cost of saving a life is $100 (10 cents for the medicine and $99.90 for getting the medicine, education, etc to the sick: see example)
Now, let's do the math:
1. Every year, and worldwide, more than 2 billion Christians give in excess of 600 billion dollars to nonprofit causes.
2. ARK AID rates 83% of the larger charities involved with poverty alleviation and gives advice about aid for the poor which means appraisal and promotion of charities receiving some 50 billion dollars (assuming that about 10% of the giving is directed to poverty alleviation).
